Emmanuel lives in Clifton Park. He is 17 years old and has Epilepsy, Spastic Quadriplegia, Cerebral Palsy and Mitochondrial disease. He is entirely dependent on others for his needs yet remains strong and positive. It doesn’t take long to see Emmanuel’s ability to communicate with his beautifully expressive eyes and you feel the love the moment you enter his home. We have provided Emmanuel with additional equipment that helped his mother and therapist create a safe learning environment for him. Emmanuel is unable to leave his home often so it is very important that he is able to be in places other than in his bed all day. The learning room materials are often used in therapy sessions and in home schooling sessions. We have also provided Emmanuel with fluidized positioners to help keep him comfortable when he is in bed and to prevent sores. Jake’s Help From Heaven also funds transportation for Emmanuel to leave his home to visit family. He must travel with an adaptive vehicle in order to be safe and this is quite expensive and not covered by insurance. We are so blessed that Emmanuel and his family came into our life and our part of our JHFH family!
